Responsibilities
Maintain and enhance the golf course by performing turf management, mowing, edging, and trimming to ensure a smooth, healthy playing surface.
Operate grounds maintenance equipment such as mowers, aerators, chainsaws, and power tools safely and efficiently.
Manage irrigation systems and perform routine irrigation system inspections and repairs to promote optimal turf health.
Apply pesticides and fertilizers following safety protocols to control pests and promote healthy landscaping.
Conduct manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of equipment, soil, or landscaping materials while adhering to proper safety procedures.
Perform landscape maintenance duties such as planting, pruning, gardening, and general groundskeeping to maintain aesthetic appeal.
Maintain equipment through routine cleaning, inspection, and minor repairs to ensure reliable operation during daily tasks.
Experience
Prior experience in athletic field groundskeeping or golf course groundskeeping is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates.
Knowledge of irrigation systems, landscape maintenance practices, and pesticide management is highly desirable.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, chainsaws, and grounds maintenance equipment operation is essential for efficient task completion.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and effectively is required.
Understanding of power tool safety standards and equipment maintenance practices will support your success in this role.
Strong work ethic with attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward landscaping and lawn care responsibilities.
