This Privacy Policy explains how GolfHires (“GolfHires,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you use golfhires.com and our related services (the “Platform”). It applies to job seekers, employers, and visitors. By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described here.
We collect information in three ways:
Information you provide directly
Information collected automatically
Information from third parties
When you upload a résumé or CV, it may contain personal information such as your contact details, work history, and education. We store résumé files using access-controlled storage (Vercel Blob) and serve them through short-lived signed URLs so they are not publicly browsable. We share a résumé with an employer only when you apply to that employer’s job or otherwise direct us to. Please avoid including sensitive personal data (such as government identifiers, health, or financial information) in your résumé.
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only as described below:
The Platform relies on the third-party processors listed above. Some job listings link out to external application pages operated by employers or third-party job boards; once you leave GolfHires, the privacy practices of those sites apply. We encourage you to review their privacy policies.
We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Platform. We retain and use information as necessary to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Your Rights).
Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, update, port, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise these rights by contacting us at privacy@golfhires.com. We will verify your request and respond within the timeframe required by law. You may also delete your account from your account settings.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose; to request deletion or correction of your personal information; and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. GolfHires does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise your California rights, contact us at privacy@golfhires.com. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf.
If you are in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal information under legal bases including your consent, performance of a contract with you, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate interests in operating and securing the Platform. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority. Where we transfer data internationally, we rely on appropriate safeguards. Contact privacy@golfhires.com to exercise these rights.
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed passwords, httpOnly authentication cookies, and access-controlled résumé storage. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Platform is intended for users who are at least 16 years old and seeking or offering employment. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Platform after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
