Assistant Golf Professional Golf Links in Saint Michaels, Maryland is looking for an Assistant Golf Professional. Position Overview: Essential Responsibilities: • Ability to provide the highest level of customer service, and maintain professional appearance and attitude. • Must be a team player, work together with professional golf staff to create an exceptional experience in the golf shop for LPC members, Inn and Lodge guests. • Assist golf staff with daily golf operations. • Excellent communication, phone and written skills. Ability to greet, welcome and engage customers. • Maintain the overall appearance, design and traffic flow of golf shop. • Ability to create buying programs, maintain inventory levels according to the season, design and rotate merchandise displays to enhance the golf shop. • Responsible for developing programs for receiving, checking in, and pricing merchandise, including special orders. • Responsible for monthly inventory controls, and physical monthly counts. • Must work with LPC Controller and Accounting Department with accounts payable, yardi accounting software, purchase orders and budgets. • Master all aspects of Resort Suite POS system, proficient in Excel and Word. Requirements: College education and registered PGA apprentice preferred. Experience at premium resort or high end private facility preferred. Compensation: $35,000.00 – $38,000.00 per year. PGA of America annual dues paid. Health and dental available. 401k, vacation and sick leave. Uniforms, playing and practice privileges.
