This role assists in managing tee sheet operations, retail sales, tournaments, and member services while ensuring an exceptional experience for all members and guests. The position requires strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills, along with a professional and welcoming demeanor. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Head Golf Professional in overseeing daily golf operations, including tee sheet management and pace of play. Coordinate and manage tee time reservations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service, creating a positive and professional check‑in and retail experience. Supervise and support staff, including Cart Attendants, Starters, and Outside Services. Assist in the planning and execution of tournaments, outings, and group events. Operate and manage point‑of‑sale (POS) systems, including cash handling and reconciliation. Maintain accountability for all financial transactions and daily sales reporting. Support merchandising efforts, including stocking, display, and sales of golf shop inventory. Monitor course flow, safety, and pace of play in coordination with the starter and Golf Professional Team. Assist with marketing initiatives, member engagement, and club events. Provide individual and group golf instruction as needed. Maintain cleanliness, organization and professional presentation of the golf shop and surrounding areas. Manage guest concerns and resolve issues in a professional and timely manner. Document incidents, accidents or irregularities according to club policy. Operate golf carts and practice facility equipment safely. Attend staff meetings and contribute to a positive team environment. Perform additional duties as assigned. Qualifications 1-2 years of experience in the golf industry preferred. PGA Member or Apprentice preferred; PGM degree a plus. Strong customer service orientation with a commitment to hospitality. Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills. Ability to build rapport with members, guests, and team members. Experience with POS systems, tee sheet management (ForeTees), and tournament software (Golf Genius) preferred. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Basic computer proficiency required. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Skills and Competencies Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment. Maintain professional appearance and demeanor at all times. Ability to handle customer concerns with tact and composure. Basic math and cash handling skills. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift to fifty pounds. Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in varied weather conditions. Frequent movement between golf course and clubhouse facilities. Exposure to typical golf course conditions, including errant golf balls. Compensation Compensation is commensurate with experience.
