About the Role
## Program Manager Sports Marketing / Green Grass Development (Central Region)
We are seeking a golf industry expert to manage relationships with the company's highest level Staff Program members in the central region of the United States. This role is responsible for overseeing the company’s key sponsorship activities with the PGA of America and other high-profile Taylor. Made events (PPC National, TP Classics & Sectionals) that occur within the assigned region. The individual will represent the department and company in many high-profile situations dealing with golf industry leaders, influencers and executives.
This position must live anywhere within the assigned territory (Central United States). Preferred locations include Dallas, Chicago, Minneapolis, Milwaukee, Nashville and Detroit. The role is remote-friendly (#LI-remote) but requires extensive travel and on-site presence at events.
You will be expected to build and drive the development of the green grass channel through relationships with Staff program members, maintain a high level of communication with top Staff members, and implement key business strategies to maximize relationships with PGA professionals. On-site oversight at the company’s Title Sponsored events with the PGA of America at the Section and National level (within the assigned region) is a core part of the job. You will also identify, recruit and retain top golf professionals within the target Pyramid of Influence, developing relationships with players and their teams (agents, coaches, etc.).
The role works closely with Sales team members to execute measurable brand loyalty and recognition, and it serves as the point of contact for Sports Marketing events specifically focused on PNC National & Sectional Events, TP Classics and PGA Tour Events. You will collaborate with key Club professionals to understand product needs and then work with internal teams (e.g. Product, R&D), and Taylor. Made licensees as appropriate, to resolve and fulfill those needs. Staying involved in design and prototype processes as a liaison between design teams and the field and communicating product timelines and status updates to Club professionals is expected.
Observe and gather competitive activity and product trends to provide insights to the GSM, Product Creation and R&D teams. Manage contract negotiations between the company and Staff program members, and oversee product fitting/seeding at key facilities within the assigned region to introduce new product to higher-profile Staff Program members while linking with Sales Management to maximize exposure for Taylor. Made. Perform other related duties and projects as necessary.
You should bring expert golf knowledge and playing skills. A high level of product knowledge and an understanding of club design, swing mechanics, and fitting expertise are required. Club building acumen and launch monitor certification (Foresight, Trackman) are expected. Strong interpersonal and public relations skills, plus a neat and professional appearance, are required. Strong event planning capabilities (site procurement, planning, onsite execution, budget management, etc.) are needed.
Technical and system proficiencies to preserve exactly as listed include: Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Power. Point), DOMO, AI Application. A valid driver’s license is required.
Education and experience expectations are explicit: Minimum of 7 years general golf industry experience, with 5 years that specifically include direct interaction with golf professionals at the highest level. A strong fitting and product optimization background is required. PGA Membership encouraged.
This position requires an extensive amount of travel. Must be able to work extended hours, holidays and weekends as needed. You will spend considerable time outdoors, regardless of weather conditions.
Illinois-based candidates: The expected annual base pay range for this position is $130,000 - $160,000. Taylor. Made is a performance driven organization and our total rewards approach to compensation is designed to support this. We consider many factors in determining base compensation, including work locations, job related knowledge, experience, position scope, education and skills.
