Assistant Superintendent, Golf Course

Job Summary

Assist the Superintendent with employee recruitment and training. Supervise and schedule greenskeepers. You’ll support daily course operations, guide crew members, and keep equipment and work areas ready for safe, efficient outdoor work. This role suits someone who willing to learn and wants to grow within the industry. The Meadows is planning a renovation project that will include new irrigation system as well as course improvements.

Duties

Coordinate daily maintenance and course setup. Assist with irrigation management, including operating and maintaining irrigation systems and addressing routine issues. Supervise and support crew members; organize assignments, monitor work quality, and promote safe equipment use. Operate and train employees on grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment.

Qualifications

Experience in golf course maintenance, lawn care, landscaping, horticulture, or other outdoor work; construction experience is helpful. Supervising, team management, or crew management experience, with demonstrated leadership and maintenance skills. Familiarity with irrigation and construction projects is preferred. Ability to operate grounds and landscaping equipment and a company vehicle safely. Must be able to acquire NJ pesticide license.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38.0 – 48.0 per week
