Food and Beverage Intern

About the role As a Food and Beverage Intern at Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, you will gain hands-on experience in restaurant operations. You will work alongside our F&B Manager and Supervisor to see how a dining outlet functions, from daily setup to busy dinner service. This internship is designed for students or recent graduates who want to build a career in the hospitality industry.

What you'll do

Support the management team during daily shifts and assist wherever needed when the dining room is busy. Greet guests, handle requests, and resolve concerns professionally. Learn essential shift routines, including setup, breakdown, cash handling, and securing the outlet. Track stock levels and supplies, assist with scheduling, and participate in department meetings. Learn about wine selections, proper wine service, and beverage programs. Maintain service standards, food and beverage presentation, and cleanliness while following safety procedures.

What you'll need

Current enrollment in a hospitality management, business administration, or related degree program, or graduation from one within the past year. A clear interest in pursuing a career in food and beverage. Ability to communicate clearly with guests, teammates, and managers. Capacity to stay steady and focused during busy service periods. A collaborative attitude and willingness to work well with everyone on the team. Openness to feedback and coaching. Comfort using basic computer tools.

Location & details

Location: Bandon, Oregon. Work Modality: On-site. Commitment: Full-time, rolling term. Schedule: Includes evenings, weekends, and holidays. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for up to five hours at a time, and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally or 30 lbs frequently. Certification: Must obtain a Food Handler card and OLCC certification within the first 30 days of employment.
