Position Summary

Wildcat Run Golf & Country Club seeks an accomplished, service-oriented Head Golf Professional to lead its golf operation and deliver an exceptional member and guest experience. The Head Golf Professional serves as a visible ambassador of the game and is responsible for an engaging, welcoming, and professionally managed golf environment. This leader will preserve the Club’s traditions while pursuing thoughtful innovation, sound financial management, and continuous improvement.

About Wildcat Run

Established in 1985, Wildcat Run is a private golf and country club in Southwest Florida featuring an 18-hole Arnold Palmer Signature golf course. The Club serves approximately 300 golf members and hosts roughly 30,000 rounds annually. With a strong golf culture, active tournament calendar, and a highly engaged membership, Wildcat Run offers an opportunity to lead a comprehensive private-club golf program.

Experience Required

Candidate Profile & Qualifications

PGA of America membership in good standing preferred; substantial private-club golf leadership experience strongly desired (minimum 5 years of experience in the lead role).

Demonstrated success leading teams, developing professionals, and delivering exceptional member service.

Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, retail oversight, inventory management, and operational analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound judgment, and confidence working with committees and club leadership.

Experience designing and executing a robust tournament, instruction, and member-engagement calendar.

An approachable, hands-on leadership style with integrity, professionalism, and a commitment to the game of golf.

Essential Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic and day-to-day leadership for all golf operations, including the Golf Shop, outside services, player development, tournaments, and member programming.

Build strong relationships with members and guests through an accessible, proactive, and service-oriented leadership presence.

Oversee the annual golf calendar, including championships, member events, and innovative participation initiatives.

Direct golf instruction and player development offerings for golfers of varying ages and skill levels.

Manage golf retail and merchandising strategy, inventory controls, vendor relationships, and service standards.

Prepare and manage operating budgets, monitor financial performance, and recommend responsible improvements to revenue and expense management.

Partner closely with the Membership Department on all new golf memberships.

Work closely with Golf Operations Committee, Greens Committee and Senior leadership to align golf priorities with the overall member experience.

Administer golf policies, tee-time procedures, pace-of-play expectations, handicapping practices, and consistent communication with the membership.
