Apply NowAlready have an account? Log in first Golf Course Superintendent Golf Club in Mendota, Illinois is looking for a Golf Course Superintendent. Position Overview: 1. Responsible for efficiently maintaining the Club’s grounds, buildings and equipment. This will require hands-on work as well as hiring and supervising Grounds employees. Essential Duties: • Determining the need for irrigation, seeding rates, fertilization rates, cutting turf grass on fairways, tees, greens, and roughs; raking sand traps. Performing and assigning the tasks as needed. • Provide for the proper care and cultivation of shrubs, trees, and flowers; pruning, trimming and spraying. Including the application of pesticides, fertilizer, fungicides, and insecticides to treat the course. • Oversees the irrigation system, repairs broken lines or valves for water system and other emergency repairs. • Ensures all Grounds employees are trained in the proper operation, care, and maintenance of equipment. • Performs or arranges for maintenance and repair on equipment. • Comply with all federal, state and local laws governing course and grounds maintenance and grounds employees. 2. Proper and effective accounting of expenses related to the above. 3. Preparation of requests for capital and unusual operation expenditures 4. Responsible for creating and maintaining good relations with the membership, other employees, community and guests, consistent with the objectives of the club. 5. Cooperation and communication with the Club Manager. 6. Responsible for health and safety of employees, members, and guests. 7. Responsible for miscellaneous tasks as assigned by the Course and Grounds Chairperson. Compensation: $55,000 – $70,000 per year.
