About the Role
SUMMARY Responsible for performing work in the care and maintenance of the golf course and surrounding landscaped areas. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs routine maintenance tasks on tees, greens, roughs, fairways, traps, bunkers, creeks, and lakes.Sets cups.Sets tee markers.Rakes traps.Cares for plants by preparing beds, planting, watering, hoeing, fertilizing, pruning, and spraying.Cuts and trims greens, tees, fairways, and roughs using small power mowers, tractors, riding mowers and edgers.Performs landscaping duties for the grounds.Operates snow removal equipment, if necessary.All other duties as assigned. REPORTING LINE You will report directly to the Assistant Grounds Superintendent and the Grounds Superintendent. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTSMust have excellent communication skills, be polite, and present a neat appearance at all times.The ability to work with others as a team in an efficient manner.The ability to apply common sense reasoning to variety of situationsProven experience providing high level of guest serviceThe ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divideThe ability to read, write, comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos in EnglishThe availability to work all shifts.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stressful situations.Must be at least 18 years old.Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain and maintain all work cards as required by the company.The ability to verify the right to work in the United States. EDUCATIONAL AND/OR EXPERIENCE High School Diploma or equivalent. A minimum of 3 months/years of experience preferred. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the property for prolonged periods of time. Ability to push, pull, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crawl, twist, sit, climb, balance, carry and lift to 50 lbs. Constant use of hearing, speech, vision (including distinguishing between shades of color), radios, and tools or equipment requiring a high degree of dexterity. WORK ENVIRONMENT While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and regularly exposed to extreme heat. The employee frequently works in high, precarious places. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. Will be exposed to working in a noisy environment and seasonal elements.
