2027 Summer CGA (Golf) – Rules & Competitions Internship

POSITION(S): 2027 CGA (Golf) Rules & Competitions Internship – 3-Month | 3 Positions Available APPROXIMATE DATES: Mid-May – Mid-August (semi-flexible start/end dates). If interested in a longer/shorter internship, opportunities may exist. LOCATION: Greenwood Village (Denver), Colorado

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW This will provide a tournament-centric experience for individuals exploring a career in golf administration. This internship requires frequent in-state travel and immense teamwork and cooperation. Job responsibilities will be performed on-site at multiple golf courses across Colorado.

PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIESAssist with day-of tournament operations for CGA Championships and qualifiers, USGA Qualifiers, and CGA junior events (set-up, starting, on-course Rules officiating, scoring, equipment management, etc.).Perform pre and post tournament tasks (course set-up, starting times, course marking, printing, points lists, results submission, etc.).Assist communications team with capturing on-site tournament content as needed.Assist with CGA programs and member programs (Golf in Schools, clinics, etc.) as needed.Build positive rapport with volunteers, tournament players, and CGA members. QUALIFICATIONSAbility to live near or commute to CGA headquarters for the duration of the internship, though ample daily travel required.Flexibility to work extended days (often 1-2 hours from CGA headquarters), early mornings, some weekends and travel overnight.Ability to lift equipment and spend extended periods of time in extreme outdoor conditions.Background in golf and interest in golf administration as a career preferred.Self-motivated and personable with strong work ethic and enthusiasm.Ability to handle conflict situations and communicate effectively.Excellent written, verbal and customer service skills.Knowledge of Microsoft Office. COMPENSATION: $20.00/hour, plus overtime (non-exempt) | 40 hours/week estimated, not guaranteed Access to CGA owned CommonGround Golf Course on space available basis. Job expenses covered (mileage, staff uniforms, meals & lodging if necessary, etc.).
