Course Maintenance Staff

Job Summary:

Join our dedicated team as a Course Maintenance Staff member, essential to maintaining the beauty and functionality of our golf course. You will play a vital role in ensuring that our landscape remains pristine and welcoming for all golfers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Keep work areas on the golf course and maintenance facility clean and organized.Efficiently mow greens, aprons, fairways, roughs, tees, and other areas.Water tees, greens, and fairways, and operate irrigation heads in dry areas needing additional water.Repair the irrigation system, including pipes and heads, as necessary.Grade and prepare soil, lay sod, and seed greens, tees, and fairways.Trim and prune hedges and shrubbery; clean flower beds to enhance aesthetic appeal.Apply pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers effectively and safely.Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall course maintenance.Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:

Ability to design, coordinate, and maintain landscaping on the golf course.Capability to create and implement spray programs for optimal turf health.Proficient in operating all tools and equipment related to golf course operations.Strong ability to give clear oral and written instructions.Skilled in seeding, fertilizing, mulching, and general ground preparation for restoration and renovation tasks.Dependable and committed team player.Working Condition:

Regularly required to reach with hands and arms.Often required to stand, walk, and use hands to handle tools and controls.Occasionally required to balance, stoop, twist, kneel, and climb as needed.Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 lbs occasionally.Specific vision abilities include close, distant, color, and peripheral vision, as well as depth perception.Moderate exposure to extreme temperatures, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, and various mechanical and electrical hazards.Typical work environment includes loud noise levels.Willingness to work extended hours during the golf and holiday season.Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
