Golf Shop Associate

The Golf Shop Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all guests and members while promoting the golf shop's products and services. The Associate ensures the golf shop is well-stocked, organized, and a welcoming environment. This position requires a passion for golf and an understanding of the game, along with the ability to work collaboratively with team members to enhance the overall golfing experience. --- Key Responsibilities: 1. Customer Service: - Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner. - Provide recommendations on golf equipment, apparel, and merchandise based on customer needs. - Answer inquiries about golf course rules, services, and amenities. 2. Sales and Promotions: - Promote and sell golf shop merchandise, including clubs, apparel, accessories, and gifts. - Stay informed about current promotions, product features, and inventory. - Conduct transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and credit card payments. 3. Inventory Management: - Assist in receiving and stocking merchandise, ensuring proper display and organization. - Monitor inventory levels, and assist with restocking as needed. - Participate in inventory counts and assist in keeping accurate records of stock. 4. Shop Maintenance: - Maintain a clean and organized golf shop environment, including displays and storage areas. - Ensure that all equipment is well-maintained and in good working order. - Help with shop setup for events and tournaments as needed. 5. Team Collaboration: - Work effectively with other team members to ensure smooth operations. - Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills. - Assist with special events, clinics, and tournaments as required. 6. Product Knowledge: - Stay up to date on golfing trends, equipment, and local golfing events. - Be knowledgeable about club fitting, repair services, and golfing accessories.
