Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 + Performance-Based Annual Bonus
Position Overview
Midvale Golf & Country Club is seeking a highly motivated and service-driven Assistant General Manager / Clubhouse Manager to support the daily operations of our private club and deliver an exceptional member experience.
This is a key leadership role working directly with the General Manager, responsible for overseeing clubhouse operations, Food & Beverage service, staff leadership, and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and takes pride in delivering first-class service.
Key Responsibilities
Clubhouse & Operations Management
Oversee day-to-day clubhouse operations, ensuring a seamless and elevated member experience.
Assist in events and charity tournaments.
Help to manage front-of-house Food & Beverage operations, including dining, bar, and events. Manage Locker room attaentants, pool and racket sports.
Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, and presentation across all areas
Coordinate closely with Golf, Grounds, and Administration teams
Team Leadership & Development
Recruit, train, and develop front-of-house staff
Lead daily pre-shift meetings and enforce service standards
Foster a positive, accountable, and professional team culture
Provide coaching, performance feedback, and ongoing development
Financial Oversight
Assist in managing departmental budgets, labor costs, and inventory controls
Monitor daily revenues and expenses, ensuring alignment with financial goals
Support payroll processes and ensure accurate timekeeping practices
Drive profitability through cost control, pricing strategy, and operational efficiency
Member Experience & Events
Ensure exceptional service delivery for all member dining and club events
Act as a visible and approachable leader on the floor, engaging with members
Support event execution in coordination with the Sales & Events team
Handle member feedback with professionalism and urgency
Qualifications
3–5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, private clubs, or upscale food & beverage environments
Strong knowledge of restaurant and bar operations
Experience with budgeting, labor management, and cost control preferred
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Hands-on leadership style with a strong presence on the floor
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Experience
Private club or country club experience
Familiarity with club management systems (e.g., Jonas, POS systems)
Experience overseeing events, banquets, or member programming
