About the Role
<p><strong>Job Summary and Position Objective:</strong></p>
<p>Executes the essential functions of the Head Golf Professional’s duties and responsibilities when on duty.</p>
<p> </p>
<p><strong>Essential Functions:</strong></p>
<ul>

<li>Acts as a role model for all staff by demonstrating a service and member focused attitude</li>
<li>Promote the game of golf to the membership at CCO and protects the brand of the club in our community.</li>
<li>Effectively communicates with membership, golf operations team and club staff with all golf functions within the club</li>
<li>Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional with enforcing and interpreting the policies, rules, and regulations to the membership.</li>
<li>Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional with enforcing and interpreting the employee policies and procedures.</li>
<li>Oversees the departmental communication to the membership & staff, including the content of the weekly electronic messaging and Tee to Tea.</li>
<li>Responsible for the management of Men’s and Ladies Golf Tournament Programs.</li>
<li>Attends all Golf Committee meetings and serves at the Secretary to the committee.</li>
<li>Represent the golf operation on the CCO Employee Safety Committee</li>
<li>Assume the responsibility of completing the work schedule for the Golf Operation.</li>
<li>Meet with Golf Staff to suggest and coordinate all “change of season” displays.</li>
<li>Oversee the CCO golf facilities maintain our standard of cleanliness and organization. This includes: two storerooms are organized, cart facility, golf shop and back offices.</li>
<li>Accurate daily charge records turned into administrative staff. Cross check guest and cart charges.</li>
<li>Supervise the training of new employees in their hired position.</li>
<li>Assist the Director of Golf and Head Professional as an ambassador to the club for new member growth.</li>
<li>Supports the outside service manager in managing the outside staff to ensure we deliver a first-class member/guest experience.</li>
<li>Represent The Country Club of Orlando in golf events including local, state or national events with the approval of the Director of Golf.</li>
<li>Lessons to be given to outside parties must be introduced by a CCO Member.</li>
<li>Assist with all clinics. (Women and Junior)</li>
<li>Continue to educate yourself about the golf instruction including seeking knowledge and advice from all services</li>
<li>Oversee the supply inventory in the golf shop.</li>
<li>Scorekeeping and summarization of results (men’s and ladies events)</li>
<li>Make sure all credit is posted to member’s accounts.</li>
<li>Make it a goal to increase the numbers players from last tournament of similar nature.</li>
<li>Assist Head Professional in reviewing job descriptions on a semi-annual basis.</li>
<li>Assist in compiling a checklist for all positions and job descriptions.</li>
<li>Operates golf operation in absence of the Director of Golf and Head Golf Professional.</li>

<p><strong>Required Competencies/Skills</strong><strong>:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Should possess a friendly & courteous attitude. Should have proficient experience of working with & maintain golf cart & be able to work on the practice tee when required.</li>
<li>Must have a valid US Driver’s License & clean driving record.</li>
<li>Must be able to properly drive and maintain golf carts.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge of how to properly operate a golf cart.</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Required Experience</strong><strong>:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Class A PGA Professional</li>
<li>Prior experience as an Assistant Professional</li>
</ul>

<p><strong>Physical Requirements:</strong></p>

<li>stand/walk for an 8 hour shift</li>
<li>Must have the ability to lift or carry up to 50lbs along with the ability to carry out administrative tasks such as typing, filing, scheduling, etc.</li>
