Minneapolis Golf Club is hiring a Human Resources Coordinator to originate and lead Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.
The Human Resources Coordinator coordinates the implementation of services, policies, and programs, through the Controller; reports to the Controller, and assists and advises MGC managers about Human Resources issues.
The Human Resources Coordinator is responsible for the following:
Manages employee onboarding/offboarding processEmployment and compliance, regulatory concerns and reportingEmployee orientation, development, and trainingPolicy development and documentationEmployee relationsCompany employee communicationBenefits and Medical administration and reconciliationManage employee safety, welfare, wellness and health programsManage LOA processes and documentation and communicationHRIS systems implementation and maintenance of benefit databasesLeads talent acquisition initiatives and recruitingRegular updates to employee handbook with aid of legal councilDirects and administers team programs and activitiesAssists in managing and resolving complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Human ResourcesCompetence in various Human Resources functional areas; recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, employee relations, and organizational developmentKnowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to Human ResourcesAbility to handle highly confidential information in a professional mannerDemonstrates an elevated level of judgment and discretionSelf-starter, with a "let's get things done" attitudeMust possess a high sense of urgency, initiative, and common senseMust act in a professional and courteous manner, and demonstrate an ability to work with a diverse group of individualsGreat attention to detailAbility to work independently, prioritizing and organizing workload to meet deadlinesStrong ability to multi-task and work well in an environment subject to changing priorities and demandsExceptional interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to communicate with all levels within the organizationDemonstrated ability to be a team player with a positive attitudeProficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPointBachelor's degree in Human Resources or related discipline is requiredExperience in the hospitality industry - PreferredSHRM-CP or PHR certification - Preferred
