Pro Shop Attendant

Overview We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. We are currently looking to positions for nights and weekends! The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers while managing the retail operations of the pro shop. This role requires a blend of sales skills, product knowledge, and a passion for customer service. As a Pro Shop Attendant, you will play a key role in enhancing the shopping experience for our guests. Responsibilities • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their shopping needs. • Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently, handling transactions accurately. • Demonstrate products and provide knowledgeable insights to encourage sales. • Supervise and train junior staff members, ensuring high standards of customer service are maintained. • Engage in upselling techniques to maximize sales opportunities. • Maintain an organized and visually appealing merchandise display through effective merchandising strategies. • Stock shelves and ensure that inventory is replenished as needed. • Handle cash transactions with accuracy and adhere to cash handling procedures. • Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries or taking orders over the phone. Skills • Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences. • Experience in retail sales, including knowledge of retail math and basic math skills for accurate transactions. • Proficiency in using POS systems for efficient checkout processes. • Ability to demonstrate products effectively to enhance customer understanding and interest. • Supervising experience is a plus, with the ability to lead by example and motivate team members. • Bilingual abilities are advantageous for communicating with a diverse customer base. • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members. • Familiarity with grocery store operations can be beneficial in understanding product placement and inventory management.
