Director of Retail Bent Tree Country Club Dallas, Texas Lead Luxury Retail at One of Dallas’ Premier Private Clubs Bent Tree Country Club, a premier 54-year-old private member-owned equity club in Dallas, Texas, is seeking an exceptional retail professional to serve as its first Director of Retail to join the team prior to opening our new designed golf course in October 2026. This is a rare opportunity to lead and elevate the Club’s retail program across the golf shop, racquets shop, and fitness retail areas, serving approximately 800 members. The successful candidate will work alongside a seasoned merchandiser, a new Director of Golf and a supportive General Manager / PGA Master Professional who manages a strong club leadership team to create a cohesive, high-level retail experience that reflects the high standards and family culture of one of Dallas’ most respected private clubs. As Bent Tree prepares for the reopening of its new Beau Welling Design golf course in late October 2026, this position will play an important role in shaping the future of retail at the Club. Position Summary The Director of Retail will provide leadership for all retail buying, merchandising, inventory management, vendor relations, sales performance, and presentation standards across the Club’s retail operations. This individual will be responsible for creating an elevated and service-driven retail experience that aligns with member expectations and the Club’s brand. Key Responsibilities • Lead all retail operations for golf, racquets, and fitness • Manage buying, inventory, pricing, receiving, and vendor relationships • Develop compelling merchandise assortments for men, women, juniors, gifts, and club logo items • Maintain strong visual merchandising and presentation standards • Partner with department leaders to align retail with club events, programming, and seasonal needs • Analyze sales and inventory performance to drive results • Help prepare the retail operation for the reopening of the new golf course in October 2026 • Lead and develop retail staff with a strong focus on service and execution Qualifications • Proven experience in a private country club, resort or luxury retail store • Strong background in merchandising, buying, and inventory management • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills • Service-driven with a polished and professional presence • Experience in a private club environment preferred • Knowledge of premium golf and active lifestyle brands is highly desirable Compensation Bent Tree Country Club offers a very competitive Dallas/Fort Worth compensation package in salary and commission that is commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
