Food & Beverage Supervisor
Position Summary:
The Food & Beverage Supervisor supports the daily operations of all dining and event service areas, ensuring exceptional service standards and a seamless guest experience. This role works closely with the Food & Beverage Manager to lead the service team, maintain operational efficiency, and uphold the overall quality and atmosphere of the establishment.
Key Responsibilities:Service & Operations: Supervise day-to-day operations of restaurant, bar, and banquet service. Ensure all service standards and procedures are consistently followed. Oversee opening and closing duties, including floor setup and breakdown. Monitor cleanliness, organization, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
Guest Experience: Provide a warm, attentive, and professional experience for all guests and members. Address guest needs, concerns, and special requests promptly. Act as a point of contact during service to ensure smooth operations. Lead by example with a hands-on approach on the floor.
Team Leadership: Assist with training and onboarding of service staff. Supervise, support, and motivate team members during shifts. Help manage staff schedules and ensure proper coverage. Provide feedback to management on team performance and development opportunities.
Event Support: Assist in executing private events, banquets, and special functions. Ensure event setups meet specifications and timelines. Coordinate with kitchen and event teams for seamless service execution.
Inventory & Controls: Monitor inventory levels of supplies and beverages. Assist with ordering and maintaining stock levels. Ensure proper handling of equipment and minimize waste.
Financial Awareness: Support cost control measures and efficient use of resources. Assist with cash handling procedures and POS system operations. Help drive upselling and maximize revenue opportunities.
Qualifications: Previous experience in food and beverage or hospitality service. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented with a focus on guest satisfaction. Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience in banquets, events, or private club settings. Knowledge of POS systems and service standards. Supervisory or leadership experience.
