Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Golf Course Superintendent role based in Kansas City, MO. The Assistant Golf Course Superintendent will assist in the daily operations and maintenance of the golf course to ensure it remains in excellent condition. Responsibilities include supervising the grounds crew, overseeing turf, irrigation, and landscape maintenance, scheduling, applying pesticides, and helping with course setup for events and daily play. The role will require close collaboration with the Golf Course Superintendent to ensure a high-quality golfing experience for members and guests.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Turf Management, including soil health, mowing, and fertilization techniquesExperience in Golf Course Management, covering operational planning, course conditions, and team coordinationProficiency in Irrigation and water management systemsKnowledge and experience in Landscape Maintenance for aesthetic and functional groundskeepingSkill in safe handling and application of Pesticides and adherence to environmental and safety regulationsBachelor’s degree in Turfgrass Science or related field preferred but not requiredStrong organizational, problem-solving, and team leadership abilitiesExperience in golf course or sports turf maintenance will be considered an assetWillingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays
