Player Assistant- Golf Course

Job Summary River Oaks Golf Course has openings for Player Assistants- starters, rangers and course marshals. This position provides excellent customer service to patrons using our facility. Essential Job Functions Welcome golfers on the first tee and help guide them through their round Introduce the course and provide helpful information to new and returning players Assist in maintaining proper pace of play throughout the course Provide friendly reminders and guidance to keep rounds enjoyable for everyone Share course tips, directions, and general golf course information Assist with tournaments and special events as needed Support the golf operations team in delivering the River Oaks Gold Standard of Service Minimum Requirements Knowledge and passion for the game of golf. Strong communication skills. Knowledge of laws concerning the service and use of intoxicating liquor. Availability to work some weekends, mornings, evenings and holidays. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Must have outstanding customer service skills. Must be able to handle any on course issues concerning pace of play, outside beverage and unacceptable on course conduct to ensure all playing groups enjoy their experience while being respectful and professional. Must be able to stand for multiple hours and lift up to, but not limited to 50 lbs. Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with elected officials, employees and the public. Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor. Comfortable speaking with guests and providing direction. Knowledge of golf and basic course etiquette preferred. Ability to spend extended time outdoors and on the golf course.
