Position SummaryThe Golf Pro-Shop Team Member is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service while supporting daily operations of the golf pro shop. This role includes assisting guests with check-in, retail purchases, tee time coordination, and ensuring a welcoming and professional golf experience for all guests.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet all guests in a friendly, professional, and welcoming mannerCheck in golfers and verify tee times using the reservation systemProcess payments for green fees, merchandise, and other servicesMaintain accurate cash handling and point-of-sale transactionsAssist guests with merchandise selection and provide product knowledgeAnswer phone calls and respond to guest inquiries regarding tee times, pricing, and course informationCoordinate with golf operations staff to ensure smooth tee time flowMaintain cleanliness and organization of the pro shopStock merchandise and assist with inventory controlEnforce course policies and pace-of-play standards when necessarySupport tournaments and special golf events as neededQualificationsPrevious customer service or retail experience preferredBasic knowledge of golf and golf terminology is a plusStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to handle cash transactions accuratelyProfessional appearance and demeanorAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentWork ScheduleFlexible schedule required, including weekends, holidays, and peak golf season hoursHours may vary based on business needsCompensation and BenefitsCompetitive hourly wageEmployee discounts on golf merchandise and amenities (if applicable)Opportunities for additional hours during peak seasonExpectationsDeliver exceptional guest service aligned with Tanglewood Resort standardsMaintain a positive attitude and team-oriented approachFollow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelinesEqual Employment OpportunityTanglewood Resort is an equal opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal and Texas state employment laws.
