About the Role
POSITION: SEASONAL FRONT DESK REPRESENTATIVE
CATEGORY: NON-EXEMPT
SUMMARY: The Seasonal Front Desk Representative will be responsible for assisting in the daily operation of the Vistas Spa experience, including the Vistas Fitness Center and Spa, the Aquatic Center, and the tennis/pickleball courts, with the end result being to ensure that the highest levels of member satisfaction are attained. The FDR's main focus is to assist members with program registration, tours of the facility, program promotion and execution,and maintaining the cleanliness of the Vistas facilities.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Welcome and properly check in members, maintain excellent phone etiquette, and inform of appropriate fees (if applicable).
• Maintain the cleanliness and replenishment of all areas of the facility, including male/female locker rooms, group fitness studio, fitness equipment, spa, aquatic center and tennis/pickleball courts.
• Always present a professional appearance and attitude.
• Assist with communication and marketing of the diverse calendar of enjoyable programs and activities, such as fitness/spa programs, aquatic, tennis, and kids' programs, as well as special and social events.
• Provide excellent customer service and help monitor member feedback.
• Maintain constant surveillance of members within the facility; act immediately and appropriately to secure the safety of all members in the event of emergency.
• Report any incident or accident to the Vistas Management team on duty.
• Follow emergency protocols as required until the arrival of Emergency Medical Services.
• Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES:
• Ability to work all shifts - days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Excellent customer service skills and strong work ethic.
• Ability to multi-task, be very efficient, and well organized.
• Be energetic, enthusiastic, motivational, and proactive.
• Ability to show initiative by suggesting ways to make processes and/or member services better.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Proficient in the use of office equipment and computer applications; Word, Excel, NorthStar, and Canva skills preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
• Must have at least 6 months' Customer Service experience, within a health club, spa, or hospitality environment preferred
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Current CPR/AED certification required, or willing to be certified onsite through RHCC
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift and/or carry items up to 25 lbs., up to 50 lbs. with assistance
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors, in many weather conditions
