Primary Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on mowers, utility vehicles, tractors, aerifiers, sprayers, and other golf course equipment
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
Lubricate, service, and inspect equipment to ensure optimal performance
Maintain precise cutting adjustments and help ensure exceptional turf quality
Grind and maintain reel and rotary mower blades
Keep detailed maintenance and repair records
Maintain an organized, clean, and safe equipment shop
Monitor parts inventory and communicate repair needs
Perform welding, fabrication, body work, and general equipment overhauls when needed
Establish and follow safe operating procedures for all maintenance equipment
In addition, you'll assist the Golf Course Maintenance team by:
Operating mowers and specialty equipment
Assisting with course setup, cup changes, tee marker placement, and daily preparations
Supporting aerification, verticutting, turf maintenance, and seasonal projects
Maintaining equipment fluid levels and completing daily inspections
Working collaboratively to provide outstanding course conditions for our members and guests
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and mechanical training a plus
Mechanical experience with small engines, diesel equipment, hydraulic systems, or commercial equipment maintenance
Golf course equipment experience is preferred but not required
Vocational or technical training in mechanics or small engine repair is a plus
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the maintenance team
Pride in craftsmanship, organization, and attention to detail
Valid driver's license
An interest in golf or golf course maintenance is a plus
