Turf Equipment Technician

Job Overview Looking for full time (or part time) mechanic that has experience with gas and diesel golf course equipment. Must have 2+ years of experience and knowledge with large golf course equipment (i.e. Toro and Jacobson) to include: motor repair, reel and deck maintenance, reel grinding / sharpening, small machinery, electric golf cars, and trouble shooting electrical issues, etc. Must be dependable, knowledgeable, good team worker, and possess organizational skills. Also, must have reliable transportation. Duties Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on turf equipment such as mowers, trimmers, aerators, and irrigation systems. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and fuel system issues using schematics and diagnostic tools. Repair and overhaul diesel engines, generators, and heavy-duty equipment with precision and efficiency. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other specialized tools to complete repairs. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical problems. Conduct vehicle maintenance including oil changes, filter replacements, belt adjustments, and tire services. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely repairs and optimal equipment performance for turf projects. Qualifications Proven dealership or service technician experience in equipment or automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel and gas engine repair. Familiarity with schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic procedures. Experience repairing generators, heavy machinery, or similar equipment preferred. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and soldering for repairs. Ability to lift heavy equipment safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly.
