Examples of Duties
Assist the Golf Course Superintendent in planning, directing, and supervising the maintenance and daily operations of one of the region's premier golf courses.
Diagnose turf health, plant nutrition, and pest control needs; apply fertilizers and herbicides; maintain accurate records; and ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding chemical storage, handling, and disposal.
Train, supervise, and mentor staff in the safe and effective operation of mowing equipment and other maintenance machinery.
Promote and enforce a strong safety culture by ensuring employees receive proper training and follow established safety procedures.
Develop, motivate, and evaluate staff through ongoing training, coaching, and mentorship opportunities that encourage professional growth and advancement.
