Job Summary:
We are hiring cooks interested in working in a fun, team environment. This is a great opportunity to learn from an experienced culinary team in an upscale country club atmosphere in beautiful Evergreen, Colorado.
Prepare food in accordance with Club recipes and standards/specifications. Act as a first point of contact for other line cooks, providing guidance and clarifications. Assists Sous Chef in assigning cleaning and prep projects to cooks and stewards. Holds cooks and stewards to a high and professional standard in their behavior and attitude.
Job Tasks:
• Prepares all required items.
• Sets up service units with needed items.
• Prepares items that are ordered in accordance with established portions and presentation standards.
• Can perform prep and execution of all dishes on all stations.
• Demonstrates knowledge of prep, execution, and plating specifications.
• Notifies sous chef of expected shortages.
• Ensures that assigned work areas and equipment are clean and sanitary.
• Assists the chef and sous chef in maintaining security and safety in the kitchen.
• Maintains neat professional appearance and observes personal cleanliness rules at all times.
• Sets up, maintains, and breaks down prep/cook station.
• Requisition items needed to produce menu items.
• Adheres to state and local health and safety regulations.
• Covers, dates, and neatly stores all leftover products that are reusable.
• Maintains the highest sanitary standards.
• Coordinates and times orders with other kitchen operations.
• Ensures all dishes reach the window in a time frame consistent with quality.
• Makes recommendations for maintenance, repair, and upkeep of the line prep area and equipment.
• Attends staff meetings.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by the sous chef.
Reports to:
• Sous Chef; Executive Chef.
Compensation:
• $21-23/hr.
