GAP Tournament Manager

The Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is seeking a Tournament Manager to help deliver exceptional competitive golf experiences across one of the most active amateur golf communities in the country.
This is an opportunity to play a hands-on role in administering championships and tournaments while working alongside leading clubs, players, and volunteers throughout the region.

Founded in 1897, the Golf Association of Philadelphia (GAP) is the nation's oldest regional golf association and serves as the USGA's Allied Golf Association for Eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, and parts of New Jersey.
GAP serves more than 350 member clubs and over 139,000 golfers, conducting nearly 200 days of competition annually.
Responsibilities
Support the execution of tournaments and championships throughout the seasonManage pre-tournament operations, including site visits, pairings, player materials, and local rulesCoordinate volunteers and on-site event logisticsAssist with golf course setup and championship preparationEnsure a high-quality competitive experience for players and host facilities
Qualifications
Required
Strong knowledge of the game of golfExcellent organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to work independently and collaborativelyStrong written and verbal communication skillsWorking knowledge of the Rules of Golf, or willingness to learnPreferred
Experience with Golf Genius or similar tournament management softwarePrevious experience in tournament operations, golf administration, or event managementBachelor's degree
