JOB TITLE: Dishwasher
Reports to: Executive Chef; Line Cook
Pay Rate: $15.50-$17 per hour / based on experience
Status: Part-time
Position Summary
The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchen equipment, utensils, dishes, and work areas in accordance with the Club’s operational and health department standards. This position plays a critical role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring that all culinary and service equipment is properly cleaned, organized, and available for service.
Essential Job Functions
• Operate the dishwashing machine and associated equipment safely and efficiently
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, and kitchen equipment
• Maintain proper organization and storage of clean dishes and equipment
• Ensure dishwashing and kitchen areas remain clean, safe, and organized throughout the shift
• Assist with removal of trash and recycling in accordance with kitchen procedures
• Sweep and mop kitchen floors as required to maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain adequate supplies of cleaning chemicals and dishwashing materials
• Assist kitchen staff with basic cleaning and support tasks as directed
Support banquet, event, and club-wide functions as assigned
• Adhere to all Club policies, procedures, and sanitation standards

The Club is open to serve its members on all major holidays excluding Christmas Day and New Year’s Day. All employees are expected to work on these holidays.

Qualifications
• Prior dishwashing or kitchen support experience preferred but not required
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Understanding of basic sanitation and cleanliness standards
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work as part of a team in a professional kitchen environment
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Training
High School Diploma preferred.
Experience/Background/Knowledge
Prior experience not required.
Skills
Ability to communicate effectively with managers and employees in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work in hot, wet, and fast-paced kitchen conditions
