Westwood Country Club & The Pool
Westwood Country Club was founded in 1954 and is a member-owned, full-service, family-oriented club that has been established to provide its membership with outstanding recreational, dining and social opportunities. Westwood Country Club is a 157-acre property with an elegantly appointed clubhouse, an 18-hole golf course, a tennis facility (indoor and outdoor courts), fitness center and a swimming facility.
The pool facilities were renovated this year with the goal of further providing excellent service to the Club’s members and their guests.
Summary:
The Pool Snack Bar Attendant serves Westwood’s membership as a hospitality team member at the pool facility.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Greet all members and their guests, take food and beverage orders in a prompt and professional manner.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally and utilizing the point of sales system.
• Have a solid understanding of the Snack Bar menu, able to answer basic questions about food and drinks.
• Pour, prepare, and serve non-alcoholic drinks such as soda and tea.
• Prepare and serve some basic food items, such as ice cream and fruit.
• Deliver food and drinks to members in a timely and efficient manner using their proper name upon delivery.
• Must be able to complete all side work and cleaning assigned.
• Bus (clean) tables on the pool deck.
• Keep a clean and organized work area.
• Snack Bar Attendants will need to sweep, mop, wipe down surfaces, wash dishes, take out trash, and other related cleaning duties.
• Clean soda machine, ice cream machine, and any other equipment or tools as needed.
• Restock both front and back of house areas.
• Maintain a clean and professional appearance, maintaining personal hygiene.
• Maintain a positive work attitude, assisting members and other staff as needed.
• Promptly alert management of any service and/or safety issues.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and clearly with co-workers and kitchen staff both verbally and via utilizing the point of sales system.
• Ensure established safety practices are followed.
• Perform any additional assignments and duties as assigned.
Schedule & Availability
• Flexible scheduling to involve working peak periods such as weekends and holidays.
• Hours will fluctuate based on schedule, volume, weather, and budgetary requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude in a high volume area.
• Are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Fluent in English, with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Can meet the full job description, follow the duties listed, and assist in other responsibilities and tasks as needed.
• Ability to be patient, flexible, and adaptable to changing situations.
• Pass a background check clearance.
• Must be 16 years old or older.
• Preferred: Previous work experience in the Food & Beverage industry.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
• Can maintain a clean work environment with proper and safe use of cleaning chemicals.
• Has reliable transportation to and from work.
• Flexibility with weather.
