Urbana Country Club is a private establishment located in Urbana, Illinois. This location offers Members private access to a golf course, resort, spa, gym, clubhouse, and more. \nSecurity Officer | Part-Time Only | Weekends (Saturday/Sunday) \nSecurity Officers are dedicated security professionals with a demonstrated ability to work independently and as a member of a team in a complex environment. Security Officers work as a team, patrolling the Club’s property via vehicle and foot and/or ensuring security at a series of fixed locations in accordance with federal, state, and local laws as well as Club regulations.
Responsibilities
Serve as operator in the conduct of static security postsSupport the execution of plans in support of Club operationsParticipate and assist in conducting beginner, intermediate, and advanced security trainingConduct research and analysis in support of Club security missionsProvide mobile security support as directed by security leadershipRespond to emergency situations (medical/fire/suspicious person, etc.)Execute security support as dictated by security leadershipExecute roving patrols of assigned locationsMaintain a professional appearance and demeanorLearn advanced skillsets (medical/VIP escort/security hardware and technology/etc.)Requirements
High School diploma or equivalency certificate4+ years of experience in the military, law enforcement, overseas security contracting, or corporate security.Ability to work either morning, afternoon or night shift (weekends - Sat/Sun):\nMorning (0600-1400)\nAfternoon (1400-2200)\nNight (2200-0600)Availability to work any schedule needed as circumstances dictate or as needed by security leadershipAbility and willingness to occasionally stand in a static position for extended periods and walk long distancesAble to wear approximately 10-30lbs of gear throughout an 8-hour shift if requiredValid driver's license and clean driving recordMust pass a background check and drug screeningNice-to-haves
Bachelor's DegreeMilitary deployment and/or intelligence experienceAptitude for critical incident handlingCPR/first aid for the professional rescuer or BLSComputer-based proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and moreExtensive team-oriented and solo experienceAn intense interest in protecting people, property, and informationForeign language proficiencyImpeccable character/integrityExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to de-escalate disputes and/or conflict(s)
