Our client, a prestigious golf resort located in the vibrant city of Miami, Florida, US , is searching for an accomplished and passionate Head Golf Professional to lead their golf operations. This is a prime opportunity for a seasoned golf industry professional to manage all facets of the golf experience, from instruction and retail to course operations and member relations. Key Responsibilities Oversee all daily golf operations, including tee time management, pace of play, and course condition monitoring. Develop, manage, and execute a comprehensive golf instruction program for players of all skill levels, including private lessons, group clinics, and junior programs. Manage the golf shop inventory, merchandising, and sales, ensuring profitability and alignment with brand standards. Recruit, train, and supervise golf operations staff, including outside services, teaching professionals, and shop attendants. Organize and manage club-sponsored tournaments, events, and social activities to enhance member engagement and revenue. Maintain strong relationships with members, guests, and golf associations. Ensure the golf facility is consistently presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and orderliness. Collaborate with the greens and grounds crew to ensure optimal course conditions. Manage the golf budget, including forecasting revenue and controlling expenses. Stay current with trends and innovations in golf instruction, equipment, and operations. Requirements PGA or LPGA certification required. A minimum of 7 years of experience in golf operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or management role, preferably as an Assistant or Head Golf Professional. Proven track record of success in golf instruction and program development. Strong knowledge of golf shop management, including inventory control, merchandising, and POS systems. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to manage staff effectively and foster a positive team environment. Experience in planning and executing golf tournaments and events. A deep understanding and passion for the game of golf and the Leisure & Sports industry. Proficiency in golf management software and standard business applications. Customer-centric approach with a commitment to providing outstanding service.
