Golf Shop Attendant

<h2><strong>Position Overview:</strong></h2> <p>Vernon View Golf Course is seeking a dependable, high-energy team member to take on a key operational role within our facility. This position goes beyond a typical golf shop role and is responsible for helping manage daily operations across the golf shop, tee sheet, food &amp; beverage, and customer experience.</p> <p>This is an ideal role for someone who takes ownership, works well independently, and enjoys being involved in all aspects of a golf operation.</p> <h2><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Manage tee sheet and check in golfers using POS</li> <li>Handle all customer transactions (golf, retail, food &amp; beverage)</li> <li>Answer phones and assist with bookings, questions, and customer service</li> <li>Prepare and sell food &amp; beverage items (beer, snacks, quick-serve items)</li> <li>Oversee golf cart staging, cleanliness, and rotation</li> <li>Maintain a clean, organized, and professional golf shop and clubhouse</li> <li>Communicate course conditions, policies, and pace of play expectations</li> <li>Assist with leagues, outings, and daily operations flow</li> <li>Support indoor simulator operations (seasonal)</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Qualifications:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Strong customer service and communication skills</li> <li>Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment</li> <li>Comfortable handling cash, POS systems, and multiple responsibilities</li> <li>Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently</li> <li>Availability for evenings and weekends</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Preferred (Not Required):</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Previous golf course, restaurant, or retail experience</li> <li>Basic golf knowledge</li> <li>Interest in growing within the golf industry</li> </ul> <h2><strong>What We’re Looking For:</strong></h2> <p>Someone who:</p> <ul> <li>Takes ownership of their role (not just “punching a clock”)</li> <li>Can run the shop confidently when needed</li> <li>Is comfortable balancing multiple responsibilities at once</li> <li>Helps create a great experience for every customer</li> </ul> <h2><strong>Why Join Us:</strong></h2> <ul> <li>Laid-back but fast-paced golf environment</li> <li>Flexible scheduling</li> <li>Work at a facility that includes both outdoor golf and indoor simulators</li> </ul>
