About the Role
The Country Club is a prestigious members-only facility dedicated to providing an exceptional recreational and social environment for its members and guests. Known for its exclusive amenities, high standards of customer service, and welcoming atmosphere, the club offers various activities including golf, dining, special events, and other social gatherings that foster a strong sense of community and belonging. The club's commitment to excellence ensures that every member's experience is enjoyable and memorable, which is supported by a highly professional and personable staff.
The Receptionist role at the Country Club is a frontline position essential for maintaining smooth and efficient communication within the club. This full-time position operates Tuesday through Saturday, from 9 am to 5 pm, offering a dynamic and engaging work schedule. The receptionist acts as the primary point of contact for members, guests, and staff, ensuring that all inquiries and requests are handled professionally and promptly. Duties include operating the telephone switchboard, greeting members and guests upon arrival, scheduling appointments for administrative personnel, and managing general office tasks. Additionally, the receptionist plays a vital role in supporting club events by creating flyers using marketing tools like Canva and managing incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
This position requires excellent interpersonal skills as the receptionist interacts with a diverse clientele, including club members, guests, administrative staff, and job applicants. Attention to detail and organizational skills are critical to maintaining accurate records such as member charge accounts, mailing lists, and reservation logs. The receptionist also assists in various administrative functions such as filing, word processing, and operating office equipment. The role demands adaptability to work on special projects and the ability to uphold the club's appearance and atmosphere by managing the lobby area, controlling traffic flow, and even setting the ambiance with music.
The successful candidate will embrace the responsibility of managing the front desk and providing exemplary member-family relations, such as posting obituaries when requested by members. Given the position's public-facing nature, the receptionist will also be responsible for security-related tasks like reporting unauthorized persons on the premises. With no supervisory duties involved, this role focuses on direct service and operational support, offering a competitive wage ranging from $17 to $20 per hour based on experience.
