Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Pro Shop Attendant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for customer service and a keen interest in retail operations. As a Pro Shop Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our customers have an exceptional shopping experience while maintaining the shop's inventory and operations.
Duties
Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting them with their purchases.
Sell merchandise, including sports equipment, apparel, and accessories, while effectively communicating product features and benefits.
Stock shelves and maintain inventory levels to ensure the shop is well-organized and fully stocked.
Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system for transactions, including cash handling and processing credit card payments. Currently we are using Lightspeed for our tee sheet and POS.
Utilize retail math skills to manage inventory counts and assist in pricing products accurately.
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the shop to create an inviting atmosphere for customers.
Answer phone calls with proper phone etiquette, addressing customer inquiries and providing information about products or services.
Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Experience
Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred but not required.
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers.
Familiarity with cash handling procedures and basic retail math concepts.
A proactive attitude towards learning about products and enhancing sales techniques.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
