Membership & Events Director
Riverchase Country Club – Hoover, Alabama
Full-Time | Salary: $55,000 + Typical Event Commission of 3.5%
Position Overview
Riverchase Country Club is seeking an enthusiastic, relationship-focused Membership & Events Director to enhance the Member experience while driving private event sales and execution. This highly visible role serves as the primary point of contact for prospective Members, current Members, and private event clients, helping create exceptional experiences that strengthen relationships and generate revenue for the Club.
The ideal candidate is personable, organized, and passionate about hospitality. This individual will balance membership engagement with private event sales and planning, working collaboratively with all departments to ensure every Member, guest, and client receives outstanding service.
Key Responsibilities
Membership Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with Members through exceptional service and consistent communication.
Welcome and onboard new Members, helping them become engaged in Club activities and amenities.
Plan, coordinate, and execute member social events and engagement initiatives.
Assist with membership inquiries, tours, and prospective Member visits.
Support membership retention by creating positive experiences and fostering a welcoming Club culture.
Collaborate with department leaders to continually enhance the Member experience.
Private Event Sales & Execution
Respond promptly to private event inquiries and conduct tours of the Club.
Generate revenue by selling weddings, banquets, golf outings, corporate meetings, and social events.
Develop proposals, contracts, banquet event orders (BEOs), and event timelines.
Coordinate event details with culinary, food and beverage, golf, and clubhouse teams.
Serve as the primary contact for clients throughout the planning process.
Oversee event execution to ensure every detail exceeds client expectations.
Conduct post-event follow-up to encourage repeat business and referrals.
Sales & Administration
Maintain accurate client, membership, and event records.
Track event bookings, sales activity, and revenue performance.
Assist with marketing initiatives and promotion of Club events and membership opportunities.
Prepare reports and maintain organized event calendars.
Support the General Manager with additional projects and operational initiatives as needed.
Qualifications
Previous experience in hospitality, private clubs, event sales, catering sales, membership, hotel, or customer service preferred.
Proven ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Professional appearance and positive, service-oriented attitude.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with club management or event software is a plus.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
Pay: From $55,000.00 per year
