About the Role
The purpose of the position is to maintain the cleanliness standards of the Latrobe Country Club in all areas. These areas include but are not limited to the food & beverage outlets, offices, restrooms, banquet function rooms, guest houses and locker room.
Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to)
· Dust, vacuum, empty trash and general clean all administrative offices, outlets, banquets function rooms and clubhouse hallways.
· General cleans all public restrooms to include; cleaning toilets, sinks, urinals, counter tops, floors and wall with disinfectant on a daily basis.
· Spot clean all carpeted surfaces in the Club and guest houses.
· Respond to emergency flood control situations in restrooms or other areas where water containment is necessary.
· Supply all paper products to dispensers, toilet tissue, facial tissue, soap and hand towels in kitchen and restroom area.
· Report all maintenance concerns such as lights, plumbing or electrical problems.
· Maintain all equipment and keep in clean and good working condition.
· Perform special general cleaning assignments at the direction of the supervisor.
· Stock and store all supplies and recommend when items need to be replenished.
· Transport trash, boxes and other materials to dumpster for disposal.
· Clean men’s and ladies locker rooms
· Remove all used bed linens (sheets, blankets and bedspreads) and place on housekeeping cart for removal by houseman. Clean checkout rooms first then stay over rooms, unless otherwise directed by management.
· Clean bathrooms to include cleaning of toilets, sinks, counter tops, floors and walls with disinfectants on a daily basis.
· Replace amenities and paper products as needed, i.e., toilet and facial tissue, soaps, shampoo, hand and body lotion, mouthwash.
· Dust all wood surfaces, clean glass mirrors in bathroom and in the guest room.
· Inspect and clean inside all furniture (Desks, dressers, nightstands). Remove any items left by previous guests and turn into housekeeping management or security. Look under beds for cleanliness and missing items.
· Report all maintenance concerns such as lights, plumbing or electrical problems.
· Maintain all equipment and keep in clean and good working condition.
· Perform special general cleaning assignments at the direction of the supervisor.
· Assist houseman with maintaining the cleanliness of the housekeeping storage areas.
· Monitor and report low inventory of linens, amenities, and other supplies to the supervisor.
· Monitor and report pest control issues (e.g., insects, rodents) to Facilities or Maintenance promptly.
· Ensure all cleaning equipment is maintained and report any malfunctions or supply shortages.
· Communicate with supervisors or front desk staff about areas that need special attention or guest feedback related to cleanliness.
· Follow all club safety protocols and chemical handling procedures
· Provide courteous assistance to members and guests when approached, directing them or answering basic questions.
· Report any suspicious activity or items left behind to security or management.
· And any other duties as assigned by club management from time to time.
Qualifications and Characteristics Required
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
· Ability to read and speak the English language sufficient to understand direction and to meet guest needs.
· Ability to pay attention to detail and identify problems.
· Basic knowledge of cleanliness procedures.
· Ability to work a flexible work schedule.
Physical/Mental Requirements
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds independently (without assistance.) Ability to bend, push, reach, pull, kneel and stretch for the duration of the required shift.
Prior hospitality or housekeeping experience preferred
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
