The King and Prince Golf Club is entering a defining new chapter, and we are seeking a relationship-driven, strategic Director of Membership to help shape it.
Located on St. Simons Island, The King and Prince Golf Club is rooted in coastal Georgia and shaped by tidal marshes, live oaks, and the easy rhythm of island life. Following a transformative renovation led by Beau Welling Design, the club will reopen as a refined private golf experience centered on connection, craftsmanship, and coastal ease.
This is a rare opportunity to build and cultivate the membership of a modern coastal private club from the ground up, thoughtfully, intentionally, and with long-term vision.
The Opportunity
As Director of Membership, you will lead both the growth and experience of the club’s membership during one of the most important moments in its history.
You will collaborate closely with ownership, resort leadership, and golf operations to define how The King and Prince Golf Club is positioned in the market, who becomes part of its community, and how members experience the club once they join.
This role blends membership sales, programming, and engagement, ensuring that the club not only attracts the right members but also delivers a consistently elevated and meaningful member experience.
This is not a volume-driven role. It is about stewardship, building and sustaining a membership community that reflects the character, standards, and spirit of the club

Key Responsibilities
Membership Sales & Strategy
• Develop and execute a comprehensive membership growth strategy aligned with club capacity and long-term vision
• Establish tiered membership offerings and pricing structures in partnership with ownership
• Build and manage a qualified prospect pipeline
• Lead private tours and personalized sales experiences
• Forecast revenue and track performance metrics
• Guide prospective members through the application and onboarding process with discretion and care
Member Experience & Engagement
• Design and oversee a thoughtful calendar of member programming and events that reflect the club’s identity and lifestyle
• Ensure a seamless and elevated onboarding experience for all new members
• Foster strong relationships with members to drive retention, satisfaction, and community connection
• Gather and respond to member feedback to continuously refine the experience
• Partner with golf, food and beverage, and resort teams to deliver a cohesive member journey
Relationship Development & Market Positioning
• Cultivate relationships with real estate advisors, business leaders, and community influencers
• Develop referral initiatives leveraging founding and early members
• Represent The King and Prince Golf Club within the local and regional community
• Monitor competitive positioning within the coastal Georgia market

Experience & Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in private club membership, luxury hospitality, high-end real estate, or comparable relationship-driven environments
• Demonstrated success in both membership sales and/or client engagement programming
• Experience creating or managing events, programming, or member experiences preferred
• Strong local or regional network preferred
• Experience with CRM systems and pipeline management
• Bachelor’s degree preferred

The Director of Membership will play a critical role in shaping the club’s future, defining who joins, how the community grows, and how members experience the club for years to come.
Compensation will be a base plus bonus/incentive program that will be discussed with candidates directly as part of the interview process.
