Location: Upper Darby Job TitleDining Room Manager – Liberty Hill – Grays RestaurantReports toFood and Beverage DirectorSupervisesAssistant Dining Room Managers, Intern, Servers, bartenders, bussers, hosts, halfway house attendants.ObjectiveThe Dining Room Manageris responsible forthe overall leadership and operation of the club’s restaurant and dining spaces, ensuring exceptional standards of hospitality, service, appearance, and cleanliness at all times. This position oversees daily restaurant operations, leads and develops the front-of-house team, manages service execution, and works closely with culinary and club leadership to deliver an elevated member and guest experience. The Dining Room Manager is expected to lead by example,maintain strong operational and financial oversight, and create a culture centered around professionalism, teamwork, and outstanding service.ResponsibilitiesManagerial presence on floor during service hours.Communicatesbetweenfrontofhouseandbackofhouse.Leads the interviewing,selection, onboarding, training, and supervision of all dining room staff while supporting a smooth and welcoming hiring and orientation process for new team members.Follows and enforces the sequence of service techniques including but not limitedto:delivering drinks, ordering food, coursing, and firing food.Inspects overall room for cleanliness and workswithproperty leadership on preventative maintenance.Inspects tabletops to ensure neat, clean, and orderly presentation.Verifies that all side work is assigned and completed.Strives to learn members’ names and preferences. Builds rapport with new members and existing members.Manages member and guest requests and ensures members are directed appropriately.Checks emails and updates reservations daily. Forecasts proper flow using Seven Roomsto provide exceptional service.Completesanend of the shift report for respective sales areas and ensures accuracies. Compares actual numbers to budget. Reviewsfinancials with manager weekly.Attendsmonthlymanager meetings andcontributesideas. Has excellent foresight with respect to knowing what is going on in the club, companion amenities, and Montgomery County.Developsandmeasuresinteresting ways of promoting and marketing dining functions.Executes events in the dining room such as action stations, golf related events, happy hours, live music, tailgates, and specialty dining.Assistsleadershipwith all marketing content.Understands orpossessesa willingness to learn about golf operations as they relate to food and beverage. Takesa vested interest in the clubhouse and golf course.Develops rapport with the golf staff andreviewsthe tee sheets.Willingness to adapt to Union League culture and to learn about other League companion amenities.Flexible schedule based on business and event needs;required to work evenings and weekends.Support sand worksin all F&B outlets, pending service levels between the dining rooms and banquet events.Other duties to be determined.SkillsSelf-directed and proactiveWork well with other employees, including chefs and dining staffEven-temperedHiringTrainingPosition Requirements 3 years of dining management experienceFoodandbeverage knowledge, including wineAbility to communicate and work cross-functionally within the League as well as members, vendors, and clients.Proficient in Microsoft Windows/PC.
