Job Summary A Golf Course Maintenance Foreman directly supervises daily course upkeep, trains staff, and operates turf equipment. Reporting to the Golf Course Superintendent, the foreman ensures quality standards, enforces safety protocols, and often leads maintenance in the Superintendent's absence. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee all aspects of landscape maintenance, ensuring the course meets the highest standards of quality and aesthetics.

Duties
Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities including mowing, edging, fertilizing, aerating, and pest control to keep the course in optimal condition
Oversee landscaping projects such as planting, trimming trees and shrubs, and installing new features to enhance course aesthetics
Manage irrigation systems to ensure proper watering schedules and troubleshoot issues promptly
Lead a team of groundskeepers by providing training, guidance, and performance feedback to foster a motivated workforce
Conduct regular inspections of the course to identify areas needing repair or improvement and prioritize maintenance tasks accordingly
Collaborate with construction crews on course renovations or new installations to ensure quality standards are met
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental guidelines during all maintenance activities
Qualifications
Proven experience in landscape maintenance, landscaping, lawn care, or horticulture with a focus on golf courses or large-scale outdoor environments
Supervising experience leading teams in outdoor or construction settings
Strong knowledge of irrigation systems, tree care, gardening practices, and general land management techniques
Familiarity with golf course construction standards and turf management best practices
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Physical ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions for extended periods
