JOB TITLE: Food Server Related Titles: Waitstaff Reports to: Food and Beverage Manager, Dining Room Supervisor Position Summary Provides outstanding food and beverage and club event service to all club members and guests. Essential Job Functions Delivers and promotes prompt, courteous and friendly service to all members, guests and employees. Performs opening duties and side work as assigned by manager. Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating. Answers questions and suggests menu items. Enters orders in to the clubs point of sale system and explains any special cooking instructions with accurate abbreviations of food items. Assembles food on tray. Serves meals according to service techniques. Checks back with guests/members to ensure satisfaction. Removes soiled dishes. Suggests and/or serves dessert, coffee, and/or after dinner drinks. Verifies accuracy of all checks before closing shift. Keeps tables, dining room, and server stations clean and tidy. Advises supervisor/manager of any complaints as soon as they occur. Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager. Studies all menu items and is able to explain dishes to members and guests upon request or if a special item is being prepared.
