Facility Maintenance Mechanic - Clearbrook Golf Club

About the position The Facility Maintenance Mechanic will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with the daily upkeep of the facility's equipment. This position has a special emphasis on technology, computerized systems, safety equipment, kitchen equipment, and sporting equipment. Responsibilities • Repairs all maintenance equipment according to the specifications and highest professional standards particular to each item • Inspects, diagnoses and repairs mechanical defects • Works with sharpening blades reels and bed-knifes, disassembles motors and performs general overhauling, grinds valves, repairs transmissions, differentials, carburetors, distributors, fuel pumps, steering systems, starters, generators, universal joints, hydraulic systems, high pressured pumps and valves, install breaks, batteries, tires, wiring and glass and welding work • Checks machines on a daily basis to ensure each machine is ready to go the next day • Assists in creating, implementing, and overseeing safety rules for equipment operators and general team members • Implements preventive maintenance programs and care for all equipment and maintain accurate records • Notifies Facility Manager of any equipment misuse • Keeps accurate inventory of all parts and other valuable items of equipment in the maintenance building • Maintains cleanliness of the maintenance building • All additional duties assigned by management Requirements • Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and holidays • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written • Ability to maintain focus in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Must have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment • General knowledge of maintenance, janitorial & landscaping • Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific time period • Must be detail-oriented • Must be respectful and friendly to our athletes, guests, visitors, spectators, leaders and fellow Team Members • Must work well with others • Must take personal initiative for the betterment of the team and facility • Committed to the safety and well-being of others • Possess or ability to obtain a valid Driver's License
