We are looking for a hands-on Head Chef / Kitchen Manager who can lead our back-of-house operations with positivity, accountability, creativity, and confidence during one of our busiest and most exciting seasons.
This is not a corporate kitchen role. This is a real opportunity to lead a high-energy, fast-paced restaurant that serves locals, golfers, families, tourists, live music crowds, and loyal regulars all summer long and year-round.
We are looking for someone who wants to build a strong kitchen culture, mentor a team, and help create an experience people remember.
What You’ll Do
Kitchen Leadership & Team Development
Lead, coach, and support the back-of-house team in a positive and professional way.
Hire, train, mentor, and develop kitchen staff.
Create a culture of accountability, consistency, teamwork, and respect.
Lead by example and work directly on the line during service.
Help maintain strong communication between kitchen and front-of-house teams.
Support scheduling and labor management based on business needs.
Food Quality & Operations
Oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure food quality and consistency.
Execute and maintain recipes, plating standards, prep systems, and portion control.
Assist with seasonal menu development, specials, and kitchen creativity.
Maintain strong ticket times and organized service during high-volume shifts.
Ensure all food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are consistently met.
Inventory, Ordering & Food Costing
Manage inventory, food ordering, and vendor relationships.
Monitor food costs, waste, and portion control to support profitability.
Conduct regular inventory counts and maintain organized systems.
Work alongside ownership and leadership on purchasing decisions and operational improvements.
Collaboration & Leadership
Work directly with our General Manager and leadership team.
Assist with special events, live music weekends, golf outings, and seasonal promotions.
Help create systems that improve efficiency, consistency, and team success.
Be a dependable leader during busy summer operations and high-volume weekends.
What We’re Looking For
3+ years of kitchen leadership or management experience preferred.
Strong line experience in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Experience with inventory, ordering, prep systems, and food costing.
Ability to lead a team while staying calm, organized, and solution-focused under pressure.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Someone who values teamwork, communication, and consistency.
Availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
