Our Racquets Department features year-round tennis, platform tennis, pickleball, and squash programming supported by outstanding facilities and a culture built on excellence, professionalism, and exceptional member service. We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and engaging Head Platform Tennis Professional to lead and continue growing our successful platform tennis program. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teaching professional who enjoys building community through innovative programming, competitive play, and exceptional member experiences. This position may be offered as full-time or seasonal, depending on the experience and availability of the selected candidate. WHY WILMINGTON COUNTRY CLUB?Lead one of the Mid-Atlantic's premier and most active platform tennis programs.Teach multiple racquet sports year-round while growing your teaching business.Work alongside an experienced, collaborative Racquets team.Build lasting relationships with an engaged and active membership.Help shape the future of one of the country's premier private clubs.POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESLead all aspects of the Platform Tennis program.Develop and oversee leagues, clinics, instructional programs, tournaments, club championships, and social events.Coordinate Wilmington Cup and other league teams.Teach private, semi-private, group lessons, clinics, cardio programs, junior programming, and team practices.Recruit, retain, and engage members through exceptional programming and service.Organize and host local, regional, and national platform tennis events.Support tennis, pickleball, and squash programming as needed.Assist with racquet shop operations, merchandising, and member communications.Maintain a welcoming, energetic, and professional atmosphere.Availability for evenings and weekends during the platform tennis season is expected.QUALIFICATIONSAPTA, RSPA, PTR, or equivalent professional certification preferred.Strong competitive platform tennis playing background preferred.Experience leading platform tennis programming, leagues, and member events.Experience teaching tennis, pickleball, and/or squash is highly desirable.Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Self-motivated with a passion for creating exceptional member experiences.COMPENSATION & BENEFITSCompetitive salary plus significant teaching income potential.Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (full-time employees).Paid Time Off.401(k) with Club matching contribution.Life Insurance.Short-Term and Long-Term Disability.Professional association dues.Complimentary employee meals.Continuing education and professional development opportunities.JOIN OUR TEAMThis is an exceptional opportunity to lead one of the region's premier platform tennis programs while working alongside a collaborative, high-performing Racquets team dedicated to creating outstanding experiences for our members.
