The Palisades Country Club, one of the premier private clubs in the Charlotte area, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Chemical Spray Technician to join our Golf Course Maintenance team. This position plays a critical role in maintaining exceptional playing conditions by implementing comprehensive plant health programs and ensuring the safe and effective application of fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, and pesticides.

Position Responsibilities As the Chemical Spray Technician, you will:
- Monitor turfgrass, ornamentals, lakes, and landscaped areas to determine treatment needs.
- Safely mix, calibrate, and apply fertilizers, herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and other plant protectants.
- Operate and maintain spray equipment, spreaders, utility vehicles, and tractors.
- Calibrate application equipment to ensure accurate product delivery.
- Perform preventative maintenance on all spraying equipment.
- Maintain accurate pesticide application records and inventory.
- Ensure chemical storage, mixing, and handling areas comply with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and chemical documentation.
- Assist with all aspects of golf course maintenance as needed.
- Participate in ongoing training to stay current with industry best practices and application techniques.
Qualifications Preferred candidates will possess:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Current North Carolina Pesticide Applicator License (or ability to obtain promptly).
- Strong understanding of:
- Spray equipment calibration
- Fertilizer and pesticide application
- Integrated turf management practices
- Safe chemical handling procedures
- Mechanical aptitude for maintaining application equipment.
- Valid driver's license preferred.
- Golf course experience is preferred but motivated candidates with related landscape or turf experience are encouraged to apply.
