POOL CAFE JOB DESCRIPTION
Position Concept: Provides informal fast food and beverage service in the snack bar and/or halfway house outlets. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation according to company standards. Orders supplies and implements controls to ensure that budgeted food, labor, supplies and other costs are achieved.
(Reports to Banquet Manager during Banquets and special events)

Specific Responsibilities - include but are not limited to
Job Knowledge, Core Competencies and Expectations
Greet and acknowledge members and guests.
Is knowledgeable about the menu, buffet and wine list.
Learns members’ names and their special preferences.
Adhere to club policies and procedures.
Any additional tasks as directed by management.
Knowledge, Skills and Traits
Provide food and beverage service in accordance with the menu and company quality standards.
Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, and production, storeroom, service and other areas.
Ensure that required income, cost control and inventory procedures are consistently used.
Requisition supplies from club’s kitchen and storeroom, and ensure proper transfer and storage.
Provide adequate display of garnishes and condiments on “self-serve” basis.
Comply with applicable health, alcoholic beverage, fire and other laws/requirements.
Inspect club facility to ensure that sanitation, safety, energy management, preventive maintenance and other programs are in place in area(s) of responsibility.
Work with F& B Manager to develop outlet budget and monitor to ensure that financial goals are attained.
Prepare and serve food and beverage products as appropriate.
Assure the efficient and timely submission of all required operational and financial reports.
Perform other duties as appropriate.
Keeps dining areas and bus station areas clean.
Clears, cleans and resets tables that have been vacated.
Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned by manager.
Attends pre-meal meetings as requested by the Food and Beverage Manager
Thanks members and guests; invites them to return.
Consistently follows local and state laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages to members and guests.
Experience / Qualifications:
Including, but not limited to, the following:
High school required. College degree preferred.
1 years applicable functional, supervisory and/or management experience, preferably in the golf industry.
Demonstrated quality written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to analyze and solve problems; efficiently handle multiple duties under pressure with minimal supervision; work flexible hours as required including evenings/weekends.
Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
Licenses and Special Requirements
Of legal age to serve alcoholic beverages.
Ohio Alcohol Seller-Server Training & Certification preferred
