We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Golf Course Superintendent to oversee all aspects of golf course maintenance and agronomic operations at a private golf facility in Orlando,
Florida.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 4–5 years of experience as a Golf Course Superintendent at a high-quality golf course in Florida.
Degree or Certificate in Turfgrass Management, Agronomy, Horticulture, or related field.
Valid Florida Pesticide Applicator License.
Strong knowledge of warm-season turfgrass management.
Experience with irrigation systems, drainage, and water management.
Experience managing golf course maintenance staff.
Strong budgeting and cost-control skills.
Ability to prepare and implement fertilizer, chemical, and agronomic programs.
Experience with golf course equipment management and maintenance planning.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and maintain high standards.
Preferred Qualifications
GCSAA Class A Membership.
Certified Golf Course Superintendent (CGCS).
Florida Golf Course BMP Certification.
Experience preparing golf courses for tournaments and special events.
Knowledge of environmental compliance and regulatory requirements.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage all golf course maintenance operations.
Supervise and train maintenance staff.
Develop and implement agronomic programs.
Oversee irrigation scheduling and water conservation.
Manage chemical, fertilizer, and inventory programs.
Prepare annual operating budgets.
Ensure exceptional conditions on greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and bunkers.
Coordinate equipment maintenance and replacement schedules.
Provide regular reports regarding course conditions and operational needs.
Maintain compliance with all environmental and safety regulations.
Additional Requirement
All fertilizer, chemical, and capital purchases require prior ownership approval. Candidate must be comfortable operating within a budget-controlled environment and providing weekly maintenance reports.
Pay: $65,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
