Established in 1924, the golf course has long been referred to as "a hidden gem" and the clubhouse is a designated historical building by the Palos Verdes Historical Society.Benefits:Vacation & Paid Sick LeaveMedical, Dental, Vision, EAP, and Life Insurance401k with Club MatchHoliday PayEmployee Meals DailyEmployee Discounts on Food and MerchandiseEligible for Club Scholarship programEmployee referral programWork at a great location with great people!A Kitchen Steward's duties include but are not limited to:Carry out general cleaning of kitchen including but not limited to: wiping down walls and ceilings, scrubbing floors, de-liming sinks and faucets, cleaning ovens, disinfecting food prep surfaces, cleaning out walk-ins, cleaning and maintaining ice machines, sorting and cleaning dry storage areas, cleaning vent hoods, wiping down tables and carts, sanitizing bus tubs, etc.Wipe down grill, range, flattop, and fryer; wash can openers, meat slicers, and other equipmentClean floor mats and ensure floor area is dry and safe; sweep, mop, and scrub floorsWipe up any spills as they occurClean and maintain employee break room; change table linens daily and as needed, clean and re-stock condiments table as neededClean and maintain employee break room service area; clean and sanitize dish rack, microwave, beverage dispenser, sink, trash can, and floor; transfer bus tubs to dish pit as necessaryClean and sanitize employee break room buffet stationsSort and remove trash and place it in designated pickup areasClean garbage cans with water or steam dailyEnsure waste bin area and loading dock is kept clean and tidyEnsure drains are kept free of debris; clean and sanitize drainsSort, rinse, and clean dirty items and place in appropriate racks to run through machineInspect, pull, and stack cleaned items; send soiled items back for re-scrubbing and re-washingMonitor cleanliness of washed dishes and rewash dishes as neededOrganize and stack clean dishes and store in proper areasMaintain a proper, neat, clean, and safe dishwashing areaOrganize supplies and inventoryClean and/or prepare food as directedAssist with the set-up of dishes, equipment and other items for banquets and special eventsStock supplies such as food and utensils in serving stations, cupboards, refrigerators, and salad barsSet up and break down work station at the start and end of each shiftComplete daily opening and closing duties and cleaning according to established side workCommunicate supply, maintenance, safety and storage needs to management promptlyAssist fellow employees as needed throughout the shiftPerform other duties as assignedThe successful candidate:Minimum 2 years' dishwashing and/or kitchen experience in a restaurant environment ¨Basic knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements and use of equipment/machinery ¨Basic knowledge of proper chemical handling preferred ¨High school diploma or equivalent preferred ¨Serv-Safe Food Handler certifiedWe are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
