ABOUT THE CLUB
Southview Country Club is a private, member-owned club with 100 years of history. The club was founded in 1919 with the purpose of bringing local businessmen closer together. This original idea still holds true today. Many of our members have joined Southview for the friendships and golf but they have remained members for the long-lasting memories and relationships they have created. The Club's Board of Directors, Club Management and Staff are dedicated to provide the best possible experiences to members and their guests in the utilization of amenities including quality golf, dining social and family activities.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Golf Shop Attendant will report to the Head Golf Professional. This position works with the golf professionals to help maintain and merchandise the golf shop. This includes a variety of tasks based on the season. The work schedule will include nights and weekends based on scheduled events or club necessity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILTIES
Responsible for providing quality service, ordering necessary merchandise and assisting the golf shop operations.
Responsible for efficient and friendly customer service throughout the pro shop, checking in golfers, accurately ringing up charges.
Proper handling of cash or charge procedures
Respond to inquiries and make tee-times for Members and guest in person or on the phone.
Converse with Members and guests in a friendly manner.
Focus attention on Members and guests needs, remain professional and courteous at all times.
Responsible for inventory controls, checking in merchandise, organization of storage and display areas.
Keep up inventory levels of constantly stocked items (shirts, socks, gloves, hats, balls)
Follow up on special orders
Provide shop assistance as requested by Head Golf Professional or Assistant Golf Professionals
Maintain neat dress and personal appearance.
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
Demonstrate good listening skills
Understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships
While performing duties of this position, the candidate is regularly required to stand, move, jump, stand and use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
Occasionally required to sit; walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
Pay: $18.00 per hour
