Position Summary
The Club Management Intern will participate in a structured, rotational internship program designed to provide hands-on experience in the operations of a premier private golf and sporting club. The internship’s primary focus is Food & Beverage service and operations, with planned rotations through key departments to provide a comprehensive understanding of private club management, service standards, and operational excellence.
Primary Responsibilities – Food & Beverage
• Provide front-of-house service in accordance with club service standards
• Deliver a high level of hospitality to members and guests
• Assist with dining room and event setup, service execution, and breakdown
• Support bar, dining, and special event operations as assigned
• Learn Food & Beverage operational standards, service flow, and member experience expectations
Rotational Departmental Responsibilities
The intern will rotate through multiple departments to gain operational exposure and learning experience, which may include:
• Golf Operations – Member services, tee sheet management, and tournament support
• Farm Operations – Farm-to-table initiatives, seasonal planning, and sustainability practices
• Housekeeping & Lodging – Guest accommodations, cleanliness standards, and operational workflows
• Administration – Exposure to club administration, human resources, and finance functions
• Culinary – Kitchen operations, food preparation standards, and menu execution
• Golf Course Maintenance – Agronomy fundamentals, course presentation, and daily maintenance operations
Rotation scheduling will be coordinated based on operational needs and learning objectives.
Structured Learning & Development
Interns will participate in structured learning experiences designed to complement hands-on work, which may include:
• Departmental leadership overviews
• Club operations and leadership discussions
• Service standards and member experience training
• Professional development and career pathway discussions within the club industry
